2025 VA Pay Chart For Veterans With Dependents
For veterans with dependents (spouse, children, or parents), the rates increase for disability ratings of 30% and above. The specific amounts vary based on the number and type of dependent.
Remember that these rates are tax-free at both the federal and state levels. The VA uses the disability rating system (Read about VA Math) to determine the severity of a veteran's service-connected disabilities and calculates the compensation accordingly. Below is the 2025 VA Pay Chart for these Veterans and their families.
The increase is proportional to the disability rating, with higher-rated disabilities seeing larger dollar increases.
Even a modest 2.5% increase results in noticeable changes, especially for those with higher disability ratings.
For veterans with a 100% disability rating, the projected increase would be $93.35 per month, or $1,120.20 per year.
It's important to note that this 2.5% increase is currently a projection. The actual COLA for 2025 will be determined based on economic factors and officially announced later in October. The final increase could be higher or lower than this estimate.
